Dialogue Session with Stakeholders

The BDASC  hosted its first dialogue session on 3 April 2012. The session was intended to hear stakeholders' views on how IFRS Standards in Brunei Darussalam will impact their business entity. The dialogue session saw participations from representatives from the banking sector, insurance sector, statutory bodies, government officials, auditors and academics.

The Council plans to hold more dialogue sessions throughout the year to update stakeholders on the Council's current development as well as to discussing their views and concerns on the adoption of IFRS starting 1 January 2014 and the accounting standards for private entities.
